The Tree of Life Foundation Rejuvenation Center is home to the Tree of Life Café, which serves our registered guests and a live-food restaurant open to all. The Tree of Life Café serves inspirational and transformational buffet style meals of gourmet, 100% organic, vegan-vegetarian, kosher, live-food, seasonal cuisine. We feature a 14 day menu of international cuisine inspired by all the flavors of the globe.
What is live-food? Live food is food that is essentially living.'Living' or 'raw' food is food that has not been microwaved, radiated or heat processed above 110 degrees Fahrenheit, this includes cooking. As a result, none of the heat-sensitive micro nutrients have been destroyed and the full life force and energetic cellular pattern of the living plant are best preserved so that it can transfer the highest amount of its life force to us. This way we may live more vibrantly and in greater health for a longer time.
TRUE Restaurant embraces a fresh, local and organic culinary philosophy and offers an open, relaxed dining experience. Our menu features signature cocktails, hearty entrées of locally grown, organic and in-season ingredients, and delectable desserts made in house. Our chef gathers seasonal organic ingredients from the local farmers each week and creates the menus that change every two weeks according to what is available. She makes sure that whatever meats she uses are from farms that have humane and sustainable farming practices. There is a choice of three entrees: meat, fish and vegetarian. Our 3 course meals are $38 per person, and include a salad of wild greens. We also have a well selected wine list that includes several different organic wines. Reservations required.

W hen genetically altered foods began to enter the market, Els Cooperrider, a firm believer in sustainable agriculture, thought, "We have gone too far." She and her husband, Allen, both biologists, decided that the restaurant they were planning to open in Ukiah, Calif., would be entirely organic. So the Ukiah Brewing (14). & Restaurant became the nation's first brewpub (and only the second restaurant) to be certified organic. (The first organic eatery is Nora's in Washington, D.C.) "This is no holier-than-thou establishment," says seasoned chef Tom Altreuter. "We indulge one's desire to eat." The menu reflects the eclectic American taste for everything from pasta and burgers to wild salmon and Thai curries. The corned beef, made without nitrites, is cured in-house. "We never have to sacrifice quality," Altreuter says, "because organic tastes better."
Some 12 ales and lagers, including stout, porter; and Indian pale ale, are brewed with organic barley by the Cooperriders' son, Bret. Wine drinkers find organic and locally grown selections from vintners like Fetzer and Yorkville.
