Bonnie is not a chef, but has been a vegetarian for more than fifteen years and loves to prepare food for others. She thinks it is her way of showing the world she cares! The restuarant is becoming the meeting place for those in the community that are conscious of what they eat and love great food.

The Farmer and the Cook is an all-organic café and restaurant featuring a vegetarian kitchen. We grow seasonal vegetables, herbs and flowers organically on five acres within one quarter mile of the store and manage an eleven acre transitional organic citrus and avocado orchard in Ojai’s East End. We purchase a good volume of product from local organic growers.
